The Phone LED should turn off after the setup process is completed successfully. If the Phone LED stays red, then, it could be due to one of the following reasons:

  1. Your network connection has failed.
  2. There are problems with  your Amazon account credential.
  3. The Alexa Communication (ACM) is not successfully registered.
  4. The SIP registration has failed.

However, if you have successfully completed the BuddyTalk setup process during which you have 1. successfully configured your network interface and connected to the data network, 2. successfully registered the Amazon account, and 3. successfully provided Telephony credentials and registered to the VoIP SIP proxy, then, please attempt to make a phone call using Alexa voice commands such as ‘Alexa, call 1-xxx-xxxxxxx.’  If Alexa responds with either ‘Calling is not enabled on this device …’ or ‘I can’t do that because communications is disabled on this device…’, please go to your Alexa app to enable the Alexa Communication option.
