What will happen if I attempt to make a call when my BT110 device’s Phone LED is showing red?
Red Phone LED indicates one of the following: the SIP registration is not successful, the Alexa Communication registration is not successful, or both are not successful.
Depending on the conditions under which the Phone LED is showing red, these are possible responses when you attempt to make a call by pressing the red Phone LED, using the FXS port analog phone, or tapping the Mobile App Note 1:
- ACM registration OK, SIP registration NOT OK
- The BT100 device will make a SIP registration attempt.
- IF registration is successful, the Phone LED will change, and the BT110 will play IVR: ‘Which phone number, contact or device do you want to call?’ (i.e., same as if press phone LED today with phone LED off) and initiate calling
- IF registration still does not complete successfully after 1 sec: keep red phone LED and play IVR ‘Your voice service provider registration was not successful. Please check your setup again, and contact your service provider if necessary.’
- ACM registration NOT OK, SIP registration OK
- Phone LED stays red, and play IVR ‘Your Alexa calling registration is not complete. Please check that Alexa Communication is enabled on the Alexa App and then power-cycle the device.’
- ACM registration NOT OK, SIP registration NOT OK
- Phone LED stays red, and play IVR ‘Your Alexa calling registration is not complete. Please check that Alexa Communication is enabled on the Alexa App and then power-cycle the device.’
